Tanza continues to charm everyone who sees him, especially when he's out walking in the fields where all the other dog owners are. It's surprising how many people don't know what breed he is and are quite surprised to hear that he's a Border Collie. There are quite a few B.C.s in this area, but it is quite unusual to have a puppy; there is no denying that he is completely captivating.
Tanza has no fear and is extremely sociable. He loves meeting other dogs and wants to play with them no matter their size. He's been pounced on several times by dogs which didn't want to play. He can certainly scream loudly when he's attacked, but he's up and prancing around in front of the same dog a few seconds later. He is enthusiastic to a fault. Several times I've had to remove him for his own safety.
Tanza's Recall is dramatic. He comes belting over to me in response to "That'll do!" and skids to a Sit just in front of me to receive his reward (a tiny piece of liver cake I made). But he's not stupid, and if I havn't caught hold of him, he will be off again to play with his new found friends once more.
